Why I Love Being a Dentist
Dentistry is an incredible profession. Not only do we get to help keep people free from pain, but we help them feel better about themselves and their appearance. Not to mention, it’s amazing to watch our young patients grow and mature. I really enjoy getting to know each person I care for, hearing about their lives and interests, listening to their stories and learning about their lives. These conversations are always fascinating and I never know what I’m going to hear about next. The exchanges, between each patient and me, are one of the reasons why I love coming to work each morning.
I am committed to ensuring that every person who visits the practice has a positive experience while here. My team and I will do everything we can to help a patient feel at ease, and to help them understand that this is a safe environment. Because I practice only painless dentistry techniques, and we use technologies that remove a lot of anxiety related to a dental visit, patients can be assured that their visit will be comfortable.
Education and a Commitment to Continuing Education
My Bachelor of Science in Microbiology is from the University of New Hampshire, and my Doctorate of Dental Medicine was awarded by the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine. I also attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, for post-graduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD).
I am passionate about continuing education for oral healthcare professionals. It is only by staying at the leading-edge of knowledge and developments in technologies and treatment methodologies that we are able to deliver the best care to our patients. I love computerized dentistry, and am a lecturer for CEREC digital dentistry, including CAD / CAM crowns, onlays, veneers, and implants. By staying up-to-date with the latest technology in digital dentistry, I am able to improve the patient’s experience, with a comfortable visit and excellent restoration, all in a timely manner.
Away from Work
I’m a native of Rochester, NH and now call Dover my home. My family is my highest priority and since I have two energetic young sons, I tend to be kept busy. The newest addition to our family, a miniature poodle named Max, is also full of energy. Luckily, the boys help him work out some of that. I enjoy being in the kitchen with my wife, cooking amazing meals for the family, as well as kayaking and traveling to new and exciting places.
